Tinnitus

Tinnitus is a symptom of something wrong in the auditory or neural system. You may hear a continuous sound - ringing, hissing, roaring - even though there is no external physical source for that sound.

Reasons for tinnitus include ear wax overproduction, infection, excessively loud sounds, allergies, and medication side effects, to name just a few.

An audiologist at the Franklin Hearing Center can help you with rehabilitation options, including tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT) and hearing aids.  We also have all sorts of brochures on tinnitus.  Just stop in to pick them up!

To learn more, go to the Tinnitus section in our Library.
